This might be the coolest retirement in baseball history

Derek Jeter, eat your heart out.

Willie Bloomquist announced his retirement from baseball this week in perhaps the coolest way possible: with a home run.

Bloomquist, who hit only 18 dingers in his 14 years in the big leagues, cranked one more for the road in a video posted to Twitter.

"Make you last swing your BEST swing," he wrote on Twitter. "Farewell @MLB. Thank you for 14 amazing seasons. It's been an incredible ride."

Bloomquist even capped it with a bat flip. Which is kind of a surprise, considering his previous tweet.

Better watch out for the Goose, Willie.
