The details on Wednesday’s plans, per USA Today:
Fernandez, 24, and two other young men were tragically killed in a boating accident early Sunday. The Marlins canceled Sunday’s game and honored him during Monday's game, with every Miami player wearing Fernandez’s No. 16, which will be retired.
The Marlins also announced the establishment of the JDF16 Foundation, which "will reflect the values that embodied José, his love of family and his passion for helping youth."
Considered one of the game’s premier young pitchers and most charismatic personalities, Fernandez’s loss has devastated the team, the city and the sport.
