The Indians made postseason history with their second shutout of the Cubs

Not only did the Cleveland Indians shut out the Chicago Cubs in Game 3 of the World Series, they made history in the process.

The Indians’ 1-0 win on Friday night was their fifth shutout of this postseason — a new MLB record.

Cleveland shut out the Red Sox in Game 2 of the ALDS, the Blue Jays in Games 1 and 5 of the ALCS, and the Cubs in Games 1 and 3 of the World Series.

Next up for the Indians: ace Corey Kluber, who shut out Chicago in Game 1 with some help from relievers Cody Allen and Andrew Miller.
