Seeking offensive upgrade, Dodgers' Brett Anderson gets custom Josh Donaldson bat
When Zack Greinke defected from the Los Angeles Dodgers to the division-rival Arizona Diamondbacks earlier this offseason, it left the Dodgers with a big hole...and not just in the rotation.
Greinke, of course, is one of the league's best-hitting pitchers. Lefty Brett Anderson, meanwhile, isn't.
In hopes of pulling those numbers up a bit in 2016, Anderson turned to reigning AL MVP (and his former Oakland Athletics teammate) Josh Donaldson of the Toronto Blue Jays for help - and his own customized 'JD20-M' model bat:
It's a good thing for Anderson's sake that the Dodgers didn't sign him for his offense, as he had his best and healthiest personal season in 2015 (10-9, 3.69 ERA in 31 starts), his first year of at least 30 starts since 2009 with Oakland.
Your model better have more than 4 hits in it @BringerOfRain20. pic.twitter.com/Vrh0KaIyex

@BrettAnderson35 some people say it's the Indian and not the arrow, but those are really good arrows.

But who knows, maybe his fancy new bat will spark a turnaround in 2016...
