Sean Rodriguez extends olive branch to the Gatorade cooler he assaulted
Spring Training is always a good time for a fresh start, and Pittsburgh Pirates utility man Sean Rodriguez apparently used the early days of camp to clear the air with an old enemy: the Pirates' Gatorade cooler.
Rodriguez's feud with the Gatorade cooler dates back to last season's National League Wild Card Game between the Pirates and the Chicago Cubs. After a benches-clearing shouting match between the teams in the seventh inning, Rodriguez returned to the dugout and unleashed his rage on the Gatorade cooler.
But months removed from the incident, Rodriguez told Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune that cooler heads have prevailed.

It's nice to see the two sides have worked things out, especially considering Rodriguez enters the 2016 season with a new one-year, $2.5 million deal to continue to serve as a defensive utility player for Pittsburgh.
