Ryan Merritt wedding registry gets bump after Cleveland pitcher's ALCS start

Cleveland fans just found a new hero in Ryan Merritt on Wednesday.

The rookie left-hander started on the mound in Game 5 of the ALCS against the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre with just one start and 11 innings to his name — and then allowed just two singles in 4.1 innings to help get the Indians to the World Series for the first time since 1997.

Just when you think things can't get better for the 24-year-old Texan, it also turns out Merritt is also getting married to his fiancee, Sarah, "with an 'h."

And Jonah Keri has uncovered what appears to be Merritt and his bride-to-be's wedding registry to Target and Pottery Barn listing everyday items like a bar tool kit, a great white chip-and-dip and a waffle maker for their new life together.

And while the wedding day is still months away, it already appears as though a number of items have already been fulfilled from this list (including — ahem — a Brita water pitcher).

Could it be a case of Cleveland fans showing their thanks ... and congratulations?
