Royals' Moustakas has early lead in MLB's Final Vote competition
Mike Moustakas has the chance to make it six Royals that are sent to the All-Star game.
The Royals third basemen currently leads MLB's Final Vote Competition, which will determine the final roster spot in this year's All-Star game.
Moustakas had 7.5 million votes as of Wednesday morning, when MLB released the first ballot results. Brian Dozier of Minnesota followed closely behind him.
In addition to Dozier, Moustakas will have to hold his lead over three other players, including Detroit's Yoenis Cespedes, Boston's Xander Bogaerts and Brett Gardner of the Yankees.
Balloting continues through 4 p.m. ET on Friday. More than 44 million votes have been cast so far, more than double last year's total at this point in the competition.
