Rosenthal: Corey Dickerson could be Rockies' OF who gets traded

Speculation continues to mount that the Colorado Rockies will trade one of their outfielders, and the latest buzz pegs Corey Dickerson as the one leaving town.

FOX Sports MLB insider Ken Rosenthal reports that some in MLB believe that Dickerson will be the outfielder whom the Rockies trade in the near future.

Colorado currently has four frontline outfielders after acquiring Gerardo Parra to add to their existing lineup of Dickerson in left, Charlie Blackmon in center, and Carlos Gonzalez in right, which has most analysts all but certain the club will deal one of the quartet.

Rosenthal reports that the Tampa Bay Rays are "involved" in talks about Dickerson, who only has one full major-league season under his belt (2014) after being sidelined with injuries in 2015.

The 26-year-old, who hits lefty and throws righty, displayed impressive potential during the 2014 season, hitting .312/.364/.567 with 24 home runs and 76 RBI.

While he only played in 65 games in an injured-plagued 2015, Dickerson hit .304/.333/.536 with 10 home runs and 31 RBI during those games.

Through three years, he averages 24 home runs and 76 RBI per 162 games with a .299/.345/.534 split.
