Report: Aroldis Chapman signs five-year, $86 million deal with Yankees

The New York Yankees have reportedly signed closer Aroldis Chapman to a five-year deal worth $86 million, according to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal.

Chapman pitched in 31 games for the Yankees last season before he was traded to the Chicago Cubs in exchnage for four prospects. Chapman finished last season with 36 saves, a 1.86 ERA and 90 strikeouts in 58 innings pitched.

The Miami Marlins were also reportedly interested in Chapman but are expected to now focus their attention on bolstering their bullpen with Kenley Jansen.
