Reds slugger Votto set to begin rehab assignment

After taking batting practice with his teammates for a second consecutive day, Reds first baseman Joey Votto packed his bags Wednesday and prepared to fly south for a rehabilitation assignment with Single-A Sarasota.

Votto, the team's best hitter this season, has been on the disabled list since May 30 because of stress-related issues.
