Rangers place 2B Kinsler on paternity list

The Texas Rangers placed second baseman Ian Kinsler on the paternity list prior to Wednesday night's game against the Detroit Tigers.

Kinsler's wife Tess gave birth to a son, their second child, on Wednesday afternoon.

Infielder Chris Davis was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock to take Kinsler's roster spot.

Michael Young got the start at second against the Tigers.
