Pirates' Harrison injures groin while legging out double

PITTSBURGH (AP) Pirates second baseman Josh Harrison left Saturday night's game against the Cincinnati Reds with right groin discomfort after legging out a two-run double in the sixth inning.

Harrison began limping after rounding the first base on the ball hit into the right-center field gap. He was able to slide safety into second base then pounded the bag with his left fist in frustration before walking gingerly off the field.

The double drew the Pirates within 7-6.

It was Harrison's second hit of the game, extending his hitting streak to 10 games. He is one of the few hot hitters for the Pirates, who have dropped to five games out of the second National League wild card with nine losses in 11 games.

In 131 games this season, Harrison is hitting .283 with four home runs and 19 stolen bases.
