Padres place SS Cabera on DL

The San Diego Padres have placed shortstop Everth Cabrera on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained right hamstring Friday.

Cabrera has missed three straight games and the move is retroactive to Tuesday.

The Padres selected the contract of infielder Lance Zawadzki from Triple-A Portland. To create room on the 40-man roster, the club moved infielder Matt Antonelli to the 60-day disabled list with broken bone in his left hand.

Zawadzki is hitting .162 with one double, two RBIs and eight runs scored in 17 games for Portland.
