Orioles' Miguel Gonzalez to begin rehab assignment
So far, so good for Baltimore Orioles right hander Miguel Gonzalez, who is ready to return to the mound after a brief stint on the disabled list.
The Orioles announced today that Gonzalez will be starting Saturday's game in Double-A Bowie; Gonzalez is just ready to pitch again, as he told the Baltimore Sun:
“It’s always good. Always good, we know that. I’ve been [to Bowie] and you’ve just got to get in there and get your work in. I’ll throw all my pitches and see how it feels.”
On the season, Gonzalez is 5-4 with a 3.33 ERA in 12 starts.
