Nationals' Michael Taylor hit a leadoff home run into a fan's backpack
Sometimes, baseballs land in strange places. George Springer once hit a foul ball into a deep fryer at Minute Maid Park, while Joey Gallo hit a homer recently into the pool at a minor league ballpark. However, few home runs have ever landed in a backpack.
That's what Michael Taylor hit his leadoff home run into on Sunday, cranking the first pitch of the ballgame to left field and into a fan's backpack.
It was a nice grab by the fan, who picked his backpack off the floor, opened it and caught the line drive.
It was the first of Taylor's two home runs in the game, the second of which unfortunately didn't land in anything interesting.
