Nationals Bryce Harper leads all NL players in All-Star votes

Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper has had a scorching start to the season, which has earned him the most 2015 All-Star votes of any National League position player so far this year.

An All-Star voting update published Wednesday by MLB.com tallied Harper's total votes at 1,116,582, beating out Cardinals third baseman Matt Carpenter, who had 1,113,060 votes, for the most votes in the NL.

Harper currently leads the NL in home runs (17), runs batted in (t-42), walks (40), on-base percentage (.467), and slugging percentage (.734) among qualified players.

The Nats' star right fielder has already made the All-Star team twice in his three seasons in the majors.

Voting for the 2015 MLB All-Star Game ends July 2.
