Mike Trout goes big in proposal to longtime girlfriend

Four-time All-Star and 2014 AL MVP Mike Trout is known for going big on the baseball field. 

So it's no surprise that the Angels star would propose to his longtime girlfriend in the same way. 

Trout retweeted this post from his now-fiancee Jessica Cox on Saturday, showing a "Will you marry me Jess?" written across a clear blue sky.

"I'm so excited to finally be able to officially call this amazing man my fiance!" Cox wrote on her Instagram account. 

New Jersey native Trout, 24, and Cox have known each other since high school.

The 2014 AL MVP entered Saturday batting .325/.424./.576 this season.
