Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez tragically killed in boating accident
Miami Marlins ace Jose Fernandez was killed in a boating accident early Sunday morning, the team has confirmed.

Fernandez was one of three people found dead in the 30-foot boat overturned near Government Cut and South Pointe Park, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
Fernandez was just 24 years old. He defected from Cuba in 2008 and was taken in the first round by the Marlins in 2011. He was 16-8 with a 2.86 ERA this season.
Fernandez was soon to become a father, as he was expecting a baby with his pregnant girlfriend.
