Mets' Young to DL with tendinitis
The New York Mets have placed right-hander Chris Young on the 15-day disabled list with biceps tendinitis in his right arm.
The move was made Saturday, retroactive to Monday.
Young was scheduled to start Sunday against the Atlanta Braves. The Mets said Sunday's starter will be announced later.
Pat Misch was recalled to replace Young on the roster and could make Sunday's start.
Young said Friday night he felt better after throwing in the bullpen Thursday, but the Mets are concerned about depth on their staff as they play the Braves in a doubleheader Saturday after being swept by Colorado in a doubleheader Thursday.
