Mets agree with 1B Duda on 1-year, $4.2M contract

 

First baseman Lucas Duda and the New York Mets have agreed to a $4.2 million, one-year contract and avoided arbitration.

Duda hit .253 with 30 homers and 92 RBI last season, when he made $1,637,500. He asked for $4.7 million in arbitration and had been offered $3.75 million.

The agreement was announced Monday.
