Mesoraco absent because of family reasons
When the Reds arrived to the ballpark prior to Monday's game, one player was noticeably absent.
Catcher Devin Mesoraco hasn't played in a week because of a left hip impingement, but on Monday he was not only in the lineup, but not in the clubhouse either.
According to Reds.com, "Manager Bryan Price confirmed prior to the game that Mesoraco was home for family reasons and would return Tuesday. Brayan Pena took his spot in the lineup, batting sixth behind left fielder Marlon Byrd."
