Los Angeles Angels: Mike Trout Up For Hank Aaron Award
While the Los Angeles Angels as a unit are focusing on 2017, baseball is nominating Mike Trout for a few different awards for his play in 2016.
The Los Angeles Angels have a team leader, a guy who can put the team on his back and carry them throughout the season. That player is Mike Trout, and the rest of league admires him like a childhood crush. The manner in which he plays the game and interacts with the fans is something the MLB can smile about.
It’s not only the notion that he’s a good dude; or a positive force in the league. He’s going about it the right way. He never is outspoken against his team or the organization. Trout will put the fans first signing autographs at every arena he plays in. He also puts up numbers that no one can ignore.
So, it’s only fitting that Trout be nominated for the Hank Aaron award. The award highlights the best offensive player in the conference. Trout being the favorite to win the AL. You can vote at mlb.com, and the voting ends October 14.

It’s easy to believe that a player like Trout will be subject to awards year in and year out. This season Trout again outperformed the competition. His numbers across the board were an outstanding .315/.441/.550 . These numbers are worthy of this award and the MVP award, which he is also up for.
It’s more likely Trout will win the Hank Aaron award and not the MVP award. The Angels record is a handicap in the MVP voting. If Trout is to ever win the MVP award again, he’ll have to get help from his team and win more than 78 games next season.
