LEADING OFF: World Series rematch, Votto and Kluber debuts

A look at the highlights of what's happening all around spring training today in Florida and Arizona:

SEEM FAMILIAR?

It'll be a World Series rematch when James Shields makes his San Diego debut against Giants ace Madison Bumgarner in Scottsdale, Arizona. Bumgarner twice outpitched Shields last October, leading San Francisco over Kansas City.

READY TO GO

Reds star Joey Votto takes his first swings this spring, facing Kansas City. The 2010 NL MVP was limited to 62 games last year because of strained muscles above his left knee.

ACE TIME

Corey Kluber pitches for the first time as a Cy Young Award winner. He starts for Cleveland, going against the Dodgers.

HIT MAN

Astros second baseman Jose Altuve, who led the majors last year with a .341 batting average, plays for the first time this spring when Houston hosts the Yankees.

NEW LOGO

Shelby Miller throws his first pitch in a Braves uniform, facing Justin Verlander and the Tigers. Atlanta got Miller in an offseason trade with St. Louis.

OUCH!

The New York Mets will find out how second baseman Daniel Murphy's right hand is feeling. Murphy left Friday's game after being hit by a pitch from Tigers star David Price.
