Joe Maddon's mom could miss Game 3 of the World Series because of a travel delay
There isn’t a tougher (or more expensive) ticket right now than Game 3 of the World Series between the Cubs and Indians at Wrigley Field Friday night. But one very important person who actually has a ticket might not be able to use it.
Cubs skipper Joe Maddon told reporters on Friday afternoon that his mother is stuck in travel limbo just a few hours before first pitch.
Godspeed, Mama Maddon! If all else fails, perhaps you can call Del Griffith and Neil Page, whose infamous trek to Chicago involved planes, trains and automobiles a couple decades earlier.
