Indians catcher Yan Gomes is wearing Kevlar-coated cup after testicular contusion
Cleveland Indians catcher Yan Gomes would rather be safe than sorry. And who could blame him?
Gomes suffered a testicular contusion June 7, when Mariners first baseman Dae-Ho Lee fouled a ball off the Indians catcher.
Gomes missed the next two games to nurse the injury. When he came back, it appears he made sure he doubled-down on protection.
For those who don't know, Kevlar is the material used to stop bullets. Yep, that should do it.
