How much did the Orioles lose over Tampa Bay series?

Due to the riots in Baltimore, the Baltimore Orioles played one game in front of an empty stadium against the Chicago White Sox and had an entire three-game series moved to Tropicana Field against the Tampa Bay Rays. While the number one priority was safety, the Orioles' took a hit financially. Here's a look at what they lost, according to Mashable:

“I would guess the cancellations have meaningful implications because of the number of games lost,” said Rodney Paul, a professor of sport management at Syracuse University. Major League Baseball depends more on gate receipts for revenues than does, say, the National Football League, which profits from big television contracts, he said. “For a baseball team, it’s a big loss,” Paul said.

A back-of-the-envelope calculation reveals that the riots that forced a shutdown of Camden Yards for six games could cost the club some $6 million in gate receipts. Add in more than a million in additional revenues from parking fees and concessions, and a price tag of close to $7.5 million for the team and its licensees could be reasonable.
