Giants' pitcher Chris Heston named NL Co-Player of the Week

Giants pitcher Chris Heston was named National League Co-Player of the Week (along with the Marlins’ Giancarlo Stanton) for his performance last week which included his no-hitter over the Mets. It was the first no-hitter by a rookie since Clay Buccholz in 2007. Heston struck out a career-high 11 batters. The right-hander lost on Sunday, but his outing wasn’t bad. He allowed two earned runs in five innings pitched with six strikeouts.
