Giants fan dives into McCovey Cove in bold pursuit of Belt home run ball

In the bottom of the fourth inning at the Giants-Red Sox game on Wednesday, Giants first baseman Brandon Belt crushed a David Price curveball out of AT&T Park and into McCovey Cove.

The solo blast was cause for celebration as well as one man's reckless pursuit of the streak-snapping home run ball. A Giant had not registered a "Splash Hit" to the cove since Belt did it in September 2014.

The Giants went on to win the contest 2-1. Belt's homer was the 69th Splash Hit, meaning Barry Bonds, with 35 total, still has hit more than half of them with his last coming on August 8, 2007.

Take your bow, sir. You earned that one.
