Ex-Blue Jays teammate says Toronto fans should boo David Price
Though you can hardly blame him, pitcher David Price took the money ($217 million over seven years) and ran from Toronto to Boston. By staying in the American League East, Price ensured that Blue Jays fans will continue to see a lot of him.
And when Price takes the mound for the Red Sox at Rogers Centre, one of his former Blue Jays teammates, pitcher Marcus Stroman, has issued instructions for how fans should act.
"I think it'd be cool if they booed him," Stroman told Sportsnet's Arden Zwelling. "He's on a division rival — you have to boo him. There's no friends when it comes to competition."
Did that hurt Price's feelings?
@DAVIDprice24 all good fun. You know I love you champ! Lol #boo

Obviously, Stroman doesn't harbor ill will toward Price. Much the contrary.
"I get to pitch against him. It's awesome," Stroman said. "I get to pitch against one of my role models, one of my mentors and one of my buddies. ... Everyone loves him. He does it the right way. He definitely left a legacy — with me and with the team as well. One of the best guys I've ever been around in baseball."
Yeah, but ... boo!
