Dombrowski unsure of where to play Hanley Ramirez

Dave Dombrowski has inherited a unique situation with the Boston Red Sox.

There are some superstars. Some fading stars. And a whole bunch of emerging stars, particularly in the outfield.

Hanley Ramirez, signed to a four-year $88 million deal before the season, was put in left field when he didn't have a position in the infield.

After struggling in the outfield, however, it's unclear where exactly Ramirez will end up. Even Dombrowski is unsure.

"Hanley can swing the bat," Dombrowski told the Boston Herald. "I know his numbers aren't as good this year as they have been, but he can hit. What's his best position? I'm not sure at this point. I haven't seen him play left field very much. The one thing you have to be careful about, and I've had some experiences with even good athletes, you can't just assume that they can play a new position."

Ramirez has worked hard to improve his defense, but with better defensive options like Mookie Betts, Jackie Bradley Jr. and Rusney Castillo, there could be yet another position change in the near future.
