Dodgers' Greinke, Kershaw share NL Player of the Week honors

With back-to-back dominant performances, Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitchers Zack Greinke and Clayton Kershaw swept the National League's weekly player honors.

Greinke and Kershaw were named co-Players of the Week for the NL in an abbreviated week coming off the All-Star break.

Kershaw overwhelmed the Washington Nationals on Saturday, striking out 14 and allowing only three hits and no runs over eight frames.

Greinke followed suit of his lefty ace counterpart, delivering a scoreless eight-inning performance as well in which he struck out 11 and gave up three hits.

The Dodgers won both games, Kershaw's start by a score of 5-0 and Greinke's by a 4-2 margin.
