Dodgers' Ethier has right knee surgery
Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Andre Ethier underwent arthroscopic right knee surgery on Wednesday.
The team says the 35-minute procedure cleaned up wear and tear behind Ethier's knee cap. He's expected to begin rehabilitation in a week in Arizona, where he lives in the off-season. It's expected to take six-to-eight weeks.
Manager Don Mattingly says the surgery went as expected and Ethier should be able to do his winter workouts.
Ethier ended the season last week before obtaining opinions from three different doctors, who concurred on the procedure.
He hit .292 with 11 home runs and 62 RBIs this season.
