Did the Pirates just unveil the best throwback uniforms ever?
Each season, most (if not all) major-league franchises bring back throwback-style jersey schemes.
The Pittsburgh Pirates might have already won this year's competition with their 1979 World Series #WeAreFamALee alternates, which they debuted on Twitter on Thursday morning:

That classic 1979 look, of course, coincided with the Pirates' last World Series title, a series they took from the Baltimore Orioles in seven thrilling games.

The "We Are Family" Pirates were led by players such as Willie Stargell, who was a Game 7 hero with a big go-ahead home run:

Pittsburgh plans to wear these throwbacks for Sunday home games at PNC Park, but should the Pirates qualify for the Fall Classic this year it'd be interesting to see if these jerseys would make a comeback.
