Diamondbacks fans bury their heads in shame after friend drops hat onto field twice

A scene unfolded at in the eighth inning at Diamondbacks-Rays game on Wednesday that serves a nice picture of life as a teenager.

The main protagonist is the roughly 15-year-old male who dropped his white hat onto the field, causing the umpires to halt play so they could remove it. So center fielder David Peralta trots over, grabs the hat and hands it to him, but the teen botched the exchange.

He and his friends reacted to the miscue while one gal sitting right next to them recorded the whole episode and laughed along.

But it's okay, kid. It's not like you interfered with a live ball and got yourself ejected.
