Dansby Swanson knocked out of game by errant throw back to pitcher
Braves rookie shortstop Dansby Swanson was lifted from Monday’s game against the Marlins with a right groin contusion, which he apparently sustained while standing around before the fifth inning.
Swanson was chatting with first baseman Freddie Freeman and second baseman Jace Peterson when he was hit by an errant throw back to the mound from catcher Tyler Flowers. The ball hit Swanson in the groin, causing him to keel over in pain.

He was quickly replaced by Gordon Beckham.
Swanson, the No. 1 pick in the 2015 draft, was acquired in the trade that sent Shelby Miller to the Diamondbacks. He was called up last month.
