Daniel Murphy challenges soccer player to game of 'dizzy baseball'

Daniel Murphy defied all logic during his record-setting postseason home run tear last year, but despite his superhuman feat, he is still subjected to the laws of human nature.

Murphy, who signed with the Washington Nationals this offseason after seven years with the New York Mets, recently took a trip over the pond to visit the English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, which gave him the opportunity to have some fun in the Spurs' training facility in north London.

On Tuesday, Tottenham posted a video of Murphy challenging defender Eric Dier to a game of "dizzy baseball," where the object is to hit the ball the farthest after spinning around the bat a few times.

While Dier's forte is soccer, he proves a worthy opponent for Murphy, who proves he's human by accidentally letting the bat go and nearly hitting a member of the production crew.

See how it unfolds for yourself in the video below.
