D-backs make it two straight vs. Padres

Doug Davis finally got something to show for a good outing.

The Arizona left-hander earned his first victory in a month and the Diamondbacks matched their season-best four-game winning streak by beating the San Diego Padres 4-3 on Tuesday night.

Davis, who had allowed just two earned runs in his previous three starts but left each with a no-decision, scattered nine hits, giving up two runs in 6 1-3 innings. It was his first victory since beating San Diego 8-0 on June 5. Davis (4-8) was 0-2 in five starts since then.
