D-backs' Archie Bradley a different pitcher since injury

Archie Bradley hasn’t been the same since being struck by a line drive in the face on April 28. The rookie had been sensational through 20 innings in April with a 1.80 ERA. Since returning from the disabled list on May 16, he’s allowed 14 earned runs in 10 2-3 innings. After giving up six runs to the Cardinals on Tuesday, Bradley was “frustrated.”

Per The Arizona Republic, Bradley had the following to say about his start:

"Not very pleased. Not very happy. It's pretty embarrassing, to be honest.”

The difference between Bradley’s effectiveness before and after his injury are quite dramatic, but Bradley would not point to the event as the cause for his recent struggles. He told reporters:

"No, the injury is past," he said. "It's just bad baseball. It's bad pitching, it's bad pitches, it's bad sequences, it's just everything is not good right now and I know that.”
