Cueto did all he could to help Reds succeed

It certainly isn't any fault of Johnny Cueto that the Cincinnati Reds didn't experience more success during his seven-plus seasons.

Cueto went 92-63 with a 3.21 ERA with the only big-league team he's played for being dealt to the AL Central-leading Kansas City Royals on Sunday. In his last 4 1/2 seasons with the Reds, Cueto's ERA didn't get above 2.82.

While Cueto's pitching record was 29 games above .500, the Reds were just 25 games over during that span with two playoff appearances, both division-round losses.

As Cueto headed to Kansas City, the Reds' Twitter account gave him a fond sendoff, and Cueto responded by thanking the organization and its fans. Cueto provided this emotional interview following the trade.
