Cubs wish Diamondbacks, Rays happy birthday (sort of)
Happy birthday to the Arizona Diamondbacks and Tampa Bay Rays! On March 9, 1995, the two teams were named the 13th and 14th expansion teams into Major League Baseball. The Rays took to Twitter to kick off the celebrations, only to be yelled at by the Chicago Cubs:
How about some birthday cake? ? On this day in 1995, owners named #Rays, @Dbacks the 13th, 14th expansion teams in @MLB history.

Get off our lawn. @Dbacks @RaysBaseball

Of course, being 20-years-old, the Rays and D-backs responded with some snark.
Shouldn't you be at the early-bird special? ? RT “@Cubs: Get off our lawn. @Dbacks @RaysBaseball”

There's no word on if the two teams returned at night to toilet paper the house.
