Cubs' Rizzo, Bryant named All-Stars
Kris Bryant has played just half a season of Major League Baseball, but he's already headed to his first All-Star Game.
The Cubs rookie will be joined in Cincinnati by teammate Anthony Rizzo.
"It's all happened so quick," Bryant told Cubs.com. "I've had so much fun so far -- the people I've met, the relationships I've formed. All of that plays a big part in where I am now. I'm so thankful for the opportunity I've been given, to play for a team like this, and I'll go out there and help them win any way I can. Right now it's pretty special."
Rizzo will be making his second trip to the All-Star, but last season the fans selected him via the Final Vote. This time around, he was chosen by his peers.
"It's just awesome," Rizzo said. "It's a great honor to get that from the players. ... For the players to vote me in is really special."
