Chris Sale, Johnny Cueto will be the All-Star Game starters

The two winningest pitchers in the major leagues this season will start Tuesday night’s All-Star Game (8 ET, FOX).

Chicago White Sox ace Chris Sale (American League) will face off against the San Francisco Giants’ Johnny Cueto (National League), according to multiple reports.

Sale, 27, is 14-3 with a 3.38 ERA in 18 starts. He has 123 strikeouts in 125 innings pitched. Cueto, 30, is 13-1 with a 2.47 ERA in 18 starts. He has 115 strikeouts in 131 1/3 innings pitched. No other pitchers have as many as 13 victories this season.

Sale is a five-time All-Star who is in his seventh season with the White Sox, and Cueto is a two-time All-Star who is in his first season with the Giants after eight-plus years with the Reds and one-half season with the Royals.
