Change of scenery sure helped Marquis
Colorado Rockies right-handed pitcher Jason Marquis is one of those who has benefited from a change of scenery — finally. In his first three big-league stops — Atlanta, St. Louis and the Chicago Cubs — he has been considered a potential key to the pitching staff, but it wasn't until this season, with the Rockies, that Marquis, who turns 31 next month, became an All-Star.
In each of his nine previous big-league seasons he has pitched on a team that made it into the postseason, but he's only been included on the postseason roster four times. He has won in double figures and worked at least 167 innings in each of his last five seasons.
