Brewers' Ramirez named NL Player of the Week

Milwaukee Brewers' third baseman Aramis Ramirez was named the National League Player of the Week for his tremendous performance last week.

According to Cait Covers the Bases, a Brewers blog, "Ramirez hit a Major League-best .545 last week, collecting 12 hits in 22 at bats over seven games, while his .577 on-base percentage was tied with teammate Adam Lind for baseball’s top mark."

Ramirez's name has come up in a lot of trade speculation lately and after the week he hed, one would be safe to assume that his stock is climbing a bit.

“Ramirez collected at least one hit and one RBI in each of his seven outings, including five multi-hit games, leading Milwaukee to a perfect 7-0 record for the week.”
