Braves' Nick Markakis sets all-time record for errorless streak

As Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman's consecutive games played streak came to an end on Thursday, another Braves player kept an impressive consecutive games streak of his own going and set an MLB record in the process.

After completing the Braves game against the Red Sox on Thursday night without an error, two-time Gold Glove winner Nick Markakis set the record for the most games consecutive games played by an outfielder without committing an error at 393 games.

MLB.com notes that Markakis' most recent error was all the way back on Aug. 10, 2012, when he was a member of the Baltimore Orioles, a total of 1,042 days before Thursday's feat.

In his 10 seasons in the majors, the 31-year-old right fielder has only made 18 errors, boasting a fielding percentage of .994 while making 96 assists and 2798 putouts.

While he made it look routine, Markakis made a nice play in his milestone game on a fly ball down the line.
