Braves GM says team is keeping Freddie Freeman during Twitter chat
The offseason is slow for teams (and the media!), so to help pass the time and fill timelines, they often hold Twitter chats with executives to sort of peel back the curtains.
The Atlanta Braves held such a chat Thursday with new general manager John Coppolella:

Of course, the first question out of the gate was "can you give us a reason to come to games in 2016?" To which Coppolella responded:
Better offense at every position, chance to see many impact prospects make MLB debut, last year of Turner Field https://t.co/CaJh0UXIdL

When asked about the opportunity to chase a big bat this offseason, "Coppy" left the door open -- but still was adamant about keeping Freddie Freeman:
Everything for us is fluid -- except trading Freddie! -- if there is a chance to be opportunistic we will explore it https://t.co/Qh7dxqxT5a

There have been plenty of trade rumors surrounding Freeman this offseason, causing the first-time GM to come out and say that he'd "give my right arm" before trading Freeman.
He also, interestingly, gave a peek into the team's draft strategy for the upcoming draft:
Best player available, but after taking 4 HS kids last year think a college player, preferably a bat, would help https://t.co/j7RK7hwPLd

Naturally, with these chats, the questions are chosen by the organization and plenty are left ignored or unseen. Here are some highlights:
@Braves Will you guys ever change the name of the team to BARVES? #AskCoppy

#AskCoppy I had a really good, fully developed tweet prepared, but I traded it for several undeveloped tweets. Did I make the right choice?

@Braves Would you rather fight one Freddie Freeman-sized duck or 100 duck-sized Freddie Freemans? #AskCoppy

You can head over to the Braves' Twitter account to see all of Coppolella's tweets -- he apparently loves nachos.
