Blue Jays' Colabello almost made sweet double play - but forgot the ball

In what was one of the best plays of the game, Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Ben Revere ranged back and made a leaping, run-saving catch to keep it a one-run game in the seventh inning.

With Mike Moustakas on first base -- and not tagging up -- the Jays had a chance to get a double play and swing the momentum to their side.

Revere came up with the ball, fired it to the cutoff man Troy Tulowitzki, who tossed it to first for what Chris Colabello thought was a double-play out. Only one problem, though -- the first baseman who thought he had the ball, didn't.

Moustakas was quick to call out the flaw Colabello's logic, pointing to the ball sitting on the dirt.

Unfortunately for the Blue Jays, the Royals were able to put together a two-out rally, scoring Mousatakas on a single to go up 3-1 late in the game.

The Royals went on to win 4-3 and claim the American League pennant.
