Back to college: Bryce Harper shows he can still hit homers

Every offseason, professional baseball players go to their respective homes and begin the long process of rest, recovery and preparation for the upcoming season.

To stay fresh, many players go back to their high schools or colleges to play catch and take batting practice -- Bryce Harper being one of them.

Thursday night, the Washington Nationals superstar took to Instagram to show he's still in midseason form, easily clearing the right field fences at the College of Southern Nevada:

As MLB.com's Cut4 points out, Harper slashed an astounding .443/.526/.987 with 31 home runs and 98 RBIs in just 66 games at CSN as a 17-year-old in 2010. He, of course, was then taken first overall by the Nats at the same age his peers were finishing their junior year of high school.

Now, Harper is the reigning NL MVP after hitting .330/.460/.649 with 42 homers and 99 RBI in 2015.
