Awesome Keith Hernandez videos to celebrate the Mets legends' birthday
The Mets legend turned 63 years old today!
He’s Keith Hernandez. And today is his birthday.
Whether you identify more with Keith the ballplayer, Keith the announcer, or even Keith the TV star, we can all agree that he’s one of a kind.
So, while Keith uses good fundies to blow out the candles on his cake, here are some awesome Keith videos…
Keith shows us why he won so many Gold Gloves:
Keith and Mookie with Snuffy on Sesame Street:
Keith gets the Mets on the board with a two-run single in Game 7 of the 1986 World Series, because of course he does:
Keith on Seinfeld. Who does this guy think he is?

As the videos above display, Keith has excelled at everything he’s done.
He was one of the best-hitting first basemen of the 1970s and 80s while being by far and away its best defender. And he helped deliver the Mets a championship in 1986.
His acting was effortless and amazing, resulting in a two-part episode on Seinfeld that turned in to an instant classic.
And now, along with Gary Cohen and Ron Darling, Keith has taken his talents to the broadcast booth, where his analysis is second-to-none. While Keith is terrific at his color commentary, many of us (myself included) love his random comments even more.
Keith has always been a no-holds-barred kind of guy, and it’s that personality trait that makes him so unique.
Happy birthday, Keith! Whether you’re in Florida or Sag Harbor, we’re sure you’re living it up.
