Astros DFA outfielder Alex Presley
In order to facilitate the return of starter Scott Feldman on Saturday, the Houston Astros had to make a roster move.
Faced with that obligation, the club designated outfielder Alex Presley for assignment.
As Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle pointed out, Presley started four games for the Astros since being called up to take the roster spot of George Springer when Springer hit the disabled list in early July.
Presley, 29, will likely draw interest from other clubs now that Houston has 10 days to decide its next course of action with him. In parts of six MLB seasons, Presley owns a slash line of .259/.299/.393 with 23 home runs and 80 RBIs.
